Im going to alter my hair color, what do you think of this?

Currently I have long, straightish dirty blond hair. I want to mix in low lights to make it multi colored in a natural way. How dark do you think the low light should be, or should i just dye the underneath a dark brown, or go with highlights?Im going to alter my hair color, what do you think of this?
Don't go with dark underneath. That will look really bad. Go for a look like this:

i think you should go with highlights. if your dirty blond do blond highlights and go a tint more blond every time you go back. my friend does that and it looks good :)
